ATP Finals: Alcaraz sped past Auger-Aliassime and clinched a new final against Sinner
Carried by a show of force against Auger-Aliassime, Alcaraz secured a dream final against Sinner. Two monsters full of confidence, a major title at stake: the Masters has its perfect poster.
Carlos Alcaraz didn't waste any time joining his rival Jannik Sinner in the Masters final. The world No. 1, now guaranteed to finish the year at the top of the ATP rankings, faced Félix Auger-Aliassime in the semi-final tonight.
On a good run of form at the end of this season (title in Brussels, final in Paris), the Canadian seemed to have the weapons to trouble Alcaraz. But the match turned into a demonstration, with the Spaniard proving irresistible on the court in Turin.
In 1 hour and 22 minutes and without giving his opponent the slightest chance, Alcaraz won with a score of 6-2, 6-4. He delivered an impeccable performance with 25 winners and only 10 unforced errors.
A strong message sent to Sinner, whom he will try to beat for the fifth time this year in a final. The Italian, untouchable indoors since the end of the 2023 season, for his part aims to deny the Spaniard a first Masters title.
