Le programme des matchs de mercredi à Wimbledon La fin du premier tour (matchs reportés en raison du retard de mardi dû à la pluie) et le début du deuxième tour sont programmés ce mercredi à Wimbledon. Les premiers matchs débuteront à 13h30 (heure locale) sur le Centre Court, à 13h00 sur le Court n°1, et à 11h00 sur tous les autres courts. Seul le programme des deux courts principaux a pour l’instant été dévoilé par les organisateurs. Dès que la suite sera publiée, elle sera disponible sur TennisTemple (voir ci-dessous). Chez les dames, Naomi Osaka, Coco Gauff, Emma Raducanu, Jessica Pegula, Madison Keys, Bianca Andreescu, Paula Badosa face à Brenda Fruhvirtova, tombeuse de Mirra Andreeva au 1er tour, Maria Sakkari, Daria Kasatkina, Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova ou encore Katie Boulter seront à l’œuvre. Chez les messieurs, on suivra les performances de Carlos Alcaraz, de Jannik Sinner face à Matteo Berrettini, de Daniil Medvedev, de Denis Shapovalov, de Ben Shelton, de Grigor Dimitrov, de Gael Monfils face à Stan Wawrinka, de Frances Tiafoe face à Borna Coric, d’Ugo Humbert, de Tommy Paul, d’Alexander Bublik face à Arthur Cazaux, ou encore de Casper Ruud face à Fabio Fognini.
Rublev fissure à nouveau : "J'avais besoin de laisser sortir mes émotions" Nouvelle scène de grande nervosité pour Andrey Rublev. Battu dès le premier tour par Francisco Comesana (6-4, 5-7, 6-2, 7-6) à Wimbledon, où il avait atteint les quarts de finale l’an dernier, le Russe a de nouveau eu un énorme accès de colère envers lui-même. Après avoir manqué un revers qui a offert un double break à son adversaire dans la troisième manche, Rublev s’est violemment frappé le genou à 7 reprises avec sa raquette, allant jusqu’à se faire saigner (voir vidéo ci-dessous). Une façon de libérer ses émotions, comme il l’a ensuite expliqué en conférence de presse, qui n’a pas eu l’effet escompté puisqu’il s’est tout de même incliné. Andrey Rublev : "Je n’aurais pas fait ça si j'étais autorisé à frapper la raquette sur l'herbe (interdit en raison de la fragilité de la surface). À ce moment-là, je ne pouvais plus encaisser la frustration. J'avais besoin de libérer mes émotions. Mais, merci. Tout va bien (pour son genou).”
